Lyrics: State farm
State farm
High & dried, tyre rubber starts burning Fill her up now before the table starts turning Souped up, jacked up, cracked up, stacked up Louie’s got the gear And Charlie’s got his back up And don’t it make you feel good? Says she’s a dirt box Don’t mind me honey And don’t it make you feel good? [credit: Clarke/Moyet] |
Note: A bit of a riddle, State Farm sketches a party scene. In the first verse Charlie and Louie are getting ready for it. The second pictures an unnamed girl with too much money (not from the State Farm, i.e. social security) which she spends on booze and drugs. A ‘you’ is being spoken to, probably the drug dealer. In the third verse theres an ‘I’ observing the dealer and condemning him. |
