Note: The lyrics to ‘The other side of love’ don’t need much explaing apart, perhaps, the exact physical nature of the ‘good dance’, which is just as well left to the imagination of the listener.

Like ‘Situation’, ‘The other side of love’ was only added to later releases of ‘Upstairs at Eric’s’. With their upbeat tempo they significantly alter the mood of the album, which originally seems to be conceived as a bluesy compilation. After Yazoo turned out to be most succesful as a dancefloor act, a change of heart became necessary.
